Yahuna emerged from my own life experiences. I sought a way to live healthily and happily with myself.

The meaning of the word Yahuna is a combination of 'Ya' from Thai, which means 'yes', a positive affirmation, and 'Huna' from Hawaiian, which means 'secret'.

I chose the name myself for this project.

Yahuna:

'Yes', I will see who I really am. 'Yes', I want to discover more of what I truly enjoy doing. 'Yes', I eagerly want to find a way to live more honestly with myself. And 'Yes', I want to find a place where I feel good and valued within the larger whole. Yes, I find it pleasant and fulfilling to feel safe and familiar with the people I interact with. Yes, I trust in the universal energy that is accessible to everyone and inexhaustible.

It is a combination of:

  • Traditional bodywork (sports, physiotherapy, fascia therapy, martial arts)

  • Simple meditation techniques (including vipassana from Buddhist teachings)

  • Breathing exercises

  • Yoga/chakra theory

  • Building strength from within (aimed at stability of the spine, based on kine exercises & martial arts)

  • Dance (important in feeling of free movement, body awareness and head & body cooperation)

  • Learning to connect with yourself, others, your environment and the bigger picture

  • Relaxation & touching soul and heart through vibes from Hawaii.

  • The 'power of the now', based on techniques by E.Tolle

The goal is to:

  • to feel the pleasure of what you are doing

  • Calm your mind

  • Give your heart space to learn to trust

  • Let creativity flow

  • Bring out the best of yourself

  • Broaden your mind & regain your focus

  • Help you discover your own mysteriousness

  • Be able to deal more calmly with transitions in daily life

The form:

This is an active practice where you perform the exercises yourself.

The sequence of exercises is designed to remove a superficial layer of tension and rigidity, allowing a deeper core layer of softness and strength to emerge.

This will help you feel lighter, calmer, and more powerful.
